Assist with event coverage, guest services, and operations during university athletic events and facility rentals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Assist with planning and coordination of university athletic events
- Assist with management of day-of-event tasks and responsibilities
- Assist with set-up/tear-down of event materials as needed
- Assist with general guest questions and concerns during events
- Ensure university safety and security policies and procedures are followed
- Secure and manage athletic facilities
- Maintain a high level of professionalism
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee should also have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) are required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be in compliance with Washington University’s workplace policy outlined during hiring process
Competencies: To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate (familiar with email, excel, google docs, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Efficient time management skills
- Proactively identifies and addresses potential issues
- Must be trustworthy given access to sensitive information and materials
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Responds appropriately and promptly to guest requests and needs
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours consecutively as necessary
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
- Night and weekend availability as needed
- Willing to work alone to secure facilities including mornings and evenings as needed
- Working in outdoor conditions as needed
- Minimum of 10-15 hours of availability each week as needed
