Assist with event coverage, guest services, and operations during university athletic events and facility rentals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Assist with planning and coordination of university athletic events
  • Assist with management of day-of-event tasks and responsibilities
  • Assist with set-up/tear-down of event materials as needed
  • Assist with general guest questions and concerns during events
  • Ensure university safety and security policies and procedures are followed
  • Secure and manage athletic facilities
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee should also have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) are required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be in compliance with Washington University’s workplace policy outlined during hiring process

Competencies: To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate (familiar with email, excel, google docs, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Proactively identifies and addresses potential issues
  • Must be trustworthy given access to sensitive information and materials
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Responds appropriately and promptly to guest requests and needs

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours consecutively as necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Night and weekend availability as needed
  • Willing to work alone to secure facilities including mornings and evenings as needed
  • Working in outdoor conditions as needed
  • Minimum of 10-15 hours of availability each week as needed
