VMock

VMock is a resume building tool available for current WashU students. Use VMock to build, format, and improve your resume. You can also compare your resume against a specific job description to optimize keywords. VMock is not your average AI resume tool. All feedback received on the VMock platform comes from benchmarks built by the Center for Career Engagement team and the available templates were created by the CCE specifically for WashU students.

Steps for developing your resume:

  1. Create your VMock account using your WashU email by going to VMock.com/washu
  2. Upload your current resume into Vmock and get Resume Feedback on action verbs, overall impact, and presentation (10 resume uploads available, but more available upon request). Vmock provides a score, highlighting areas for improvement.
  3. Use Smart Editor to chose a WashU resume template, and allow AI to reformat your resume into the proper template based on your selection and cohort. Check to see your improved score!
  4. Use Resume Optimization to strengthen your resume for a specific job description (50 scans available, but more available upon request)
  5. Make an appointment with a career coach to fine tune the rest!
