National Student Employment Week

Celebrate WashU Student Employees April 13 – 17, 2026.

From Sumers Recreation Center to WUSAs; research labs to Bear Ambassadors; WashU libraries to peer mentors and all across the Danforth and Medical campuses: THANK YOU to the thousands of WashU student employees for all you do to support the WashU mission!

The second full week in April is celebrated by the National Student Employment Association as National Student Employment Week. To celebrate our WashU student employees, the Center for Career Engagement is providing a variety of free in-person events.  For staff and faculty who supervise student employees, we encourage you to share these events with your employees and check out the recognition resources and ideas below.

Stop by the Center for Career Engagement DUC110 April 13 – 17 from 11AM – 1:30PM for FREE food, fun activities, raffle prizes*, and community with other WashU student workers.

April 13: Do-nut Forget to Celebrate! Munch on donuts and make a custom button, key chain, or magnet to show off your student worker pride.

April 14: We’re Rooting for You! Enjoy a Qdoba chips and dip bar and snip a plant cutting to bring some green back to your work station.

Wednesday April 15: Student Workers Rock! Snack on popcorn and cookies while you paint a rock to add a touch of creativity to your office.

April 16: Find Your Work-Life Balance! Relax with a tea bar, healthy fruit, guided breathing, journaling, painting and more mindfulness activities.
